Last time I have been to Japan there is definitely less emphasis on being thin. But by American standards the women are still not 'thick' but its definitely something you see more of outside of porn.

False. The Japanese are very passively blunt if that makes sense. And are very health conscious. I got a friend who lives in Japan who was heavier. Literally everyday someone stranger would come up and say she’s too fat. One old man hit her with a bar one time and said “your feet are so tiny but waist is so fat”
