I don't get it. I don't think a comedian has ever been this hot as far as movies and commercials go. He has 3 movies dropping in a 3 month span and has done commercials for Walmart and Samsung. He has his own show on BET too. It's crazy because I just don't think dude is that funny. Black comedy is either terrible or his agent is the best in the world.

he's funny and is a good story teller but I think he's been propelled into the stratosphere mainly because all the other big name black comics have either retired or gone insane

he's basically completely morphed into his character from 40 year old virgin and it's gotten pretty tired
I think he's the "safe" comic. Honestly before Paper Soldiers I never seen or heard of him. This is not a hater thread and I'm not knocking his success but that movie was funny and a hood classic but how the fukk did he blow up off of that? He went from that to starring in Soul Plane to even bigger shyt and now he's doing movies with Stallone and Deniro.

He used to be funny but now he just forcing it. Black comedy ain't what it used to be. Black comedy is starting to look like the hip hop scene where corporations are taking over and promoting wack nikkas.

No more Chappelle, Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Cedric the entertainer, Steve Harvey, Martin Lawrence, Patrice Oneal, DL Hughley, Bernie Mac....etc :sadcam:

Chris Rock said you can make 1,000 black people laugh and be broke but make one white person laugh and you're famous, guess he found that white person :manny: Honestly though doing a movie with Stallone and Deniro means a lot less now than it did even 10 years ago and that shyt looked like it should've been straight to DVD status.

He's been grinding for a minute and worked his way up, I think him being relatable and self-deprecating helped him a lot as far as mainstream popularity
