Joint account. I make a lot more than she does. This was never an issue to me though because I just wanted a wife that at least does work and takes care of the kids. I got us when she needs to take a couple years off for solely focusing on raising our children.

In my 20s I hated ambitious women
Always felt like I should be doing more
When I was by myself single and working into the ground
My perspective changed
I understood money better and how to actually be a partner
No one man or woman should carry all the burden
That’s why you have the money talk once shyt gets really serious
You get old and that man pride shyt disappears
I still spend the most when we are out but it’s not a competition
We go back and forth and who ever sees the house bills first

Mortgage comes out of a joint account as well as the home insurance

I have my money
She has hers but we consult each other before buying something for ourselves so it’s no secrets
I was a sneaker whore at one point but that’s died down tremendously
Ex wife used to get mad about those purchases which made sense
But then I would get mad at her makeup purchases
New wife we talk that shyt out and see if we really want or need that “item” that bad
