NOPE. I JUST STARTED CARRYING 2 PISTOLS ON ME AGAIN. GONNA START KEEPING AN AR STOWED IN THE LIFTGATE OF MY CAR TOO. THIS CUSTOM SHOP IN NEW HAVEN DOES A REALLY NICE HIDDEN MOUNT FOR AN AR/SHOTGUN.

New Haven Connecticut? How are you able to carry that easily? I thought their gun laws were as strict as they are here in Massachusetts. :patrice:

How would you have seen the Vegas shooter if you were in the crowd at that festival?

You wouldn't have.

There aren't many shootings that are a result of sniper fire. If sniper fire shootings become the wave then there isn't much you can do.

Otherwise just like the new Zealand shooting, the parkland shooting, the synagogue shooting, the Miami nightclub shooting, the Charleston church shooting, the Aurora shooting, that California bar shooting, Sandy hook, columbine, Virginia Tech, gabby giffords shooting, Steve scalise shooting, Omaha mall shooting and dozens of other shootings that have achieved national headlines and the hundreds to thousands of others that only made regional or local news where someone walked into a business or place and started shooting at people while they tried to run away or even tried to run toward them to stop them (waffle house shooting), if even one of those people had even an m&p shield 9mm and was able to get one shot at the shooter they couldve stopped it.

All it takes is one shot. Not everyone dies in these shootings. Some people get hit in the leg and play dead, some people make it to cover. There are plenty of shootings where the shooter does one sweep while firing then moves on to the next area. They are rarely as thorough as this new Zealand shooter was. But one thing that concerns me are shootings are lasting longer. Vegas was one thing, he was sniping. But this is about 10 minutes of shooting, he goes back to his car gets another gun then goes back in. It's not the US, I think our responders would be quicker but even in the US these mass shootings are taking longer.

One bullet can kill a man, Sean Taylor was shot once. It just happened to be his femoral artery. So you don't necessarily have to get a head shot. You could also hit center mass. This shyt definitely ain't the movies a person getting hit in the chest or stomach anywhere center mass ain't shrugging it off, they are panicking. And unless they have a death wish (where they know they are going to die anyway) they are either going to try to escape or kill themselves.

I don’t frequent places where mostly white people congregate so my fear is minimal.

Unm.....what a stupid post.

If anything white people will be going to a place where mostly black people or other people of color congregate.

I rarely go to the theater but ever since that dude shot up the Dark Knight screening that shyt has been in the back of my mind whenever I've gone to a theater. I watched Alita Battle Angel dolo at a matinee in a empty theater and during a action scene I randomly got that feeling like somebody was behind me and I got legit scared for a second. It's terrible that that could even cross my mind while watching a movie. What makes it worse is that it's not just a misplaced paranoia thing because these motherfukkers is really shooting up any and everything in completely random places.

i will agree with that if one person returns fire its a different story. in all these mass shootings in the USA with all the second amendment folks out here not many gun fights I can remember tho.

There aren't many gunfights. Typically these shootings happened in no gun zones or in areas or places where people are unarmed.

In all 50 states you cannot possess a firearm while under the influence of alcohol. So the bar and nightclub shootings are basically rooms filled with sitting ducks.

School campuses/college campuses, sitting ducks. Movie theaters...a lot of them serve alcohol so they are sitting ducks and even the ones that don't request that you don't bring a firearm into the place. Concerts sell alcohol therefore no guns there = sitting ducks. I know of a few churches that allow guns but there's a large majority of people that don't think someones going to shoot up a church let alone their church. Honestly a church sounds like an ideal place to not have to bring a gun but we know things are not always ideal.

On more than a few notable instances where there has been a second or third party intervention with a firearm it wasn't necessarily a shootout but like at the church shooting in Texas an armed bystander chased the shooter, broke various laws just to take matters into his own hands. I even think police dispatch told him not to chase the suspect.

It's never easy. Whether you train for it or not. In the video of the new Zealand shooting some dude runs toward the gunman, he gets shot so it's hard to tell if he was for escape or trying to tackle the shooter. That waffle house guy...I don't know what made him tackle the shooter but I'm glad it worked out. Intervention works, not 100% of the time, but hell if you can get a person to stop shooting for a second that's one less person shot, one more second for a person to run or cover or call 911. In many of the shootings there are two weapons used and for some reason or another one typically jams. That time between trying to clear a jam or reload then switch weapons is a blessing for those involved.
