I have a job where I sit most of the day. I usually have to get up every 30 minutes and just wander around the building. Then I go work out after work. Looking at some people I work with, this is real.

Luckily for you I don't think he knows what he is talking about.

If he doesn't know what he's talking about, who does?

Sitting Time Linked to Higher Risk of Death from All Causes

Too much sitting linked to heart disease, diabetes, premature death - Harvard Health Blog

Over the course of these studies, people who sat for prolonged periods of time had a higher risk of dying from all causes — even those who exercised regularly. The negative effects were even more pronounced in people who did little or no exercise.

Some people in the office life only get up to use the toilet or get food. But these people wake up and sit down to have breakfast, get in their cars or train to sit down, then sit all day in the office even at lunch. Then they go home sitting in the car/bus/train and then sit on the couch before going to sleep :dahell:Body and brain have to be :damn:

The study even acknowledges people sit longer as they get older, and the people who were apart of it were between 50-70 years old. So when you have an entire list of things that older people typically die from, acknowledge old people sit down for whats really not even a long time(6 hours). It would be easy to draw that conclusion if you wanted to. And most of these people want to keep the funding come in from these nonsense studies:respect:. Plus I'm sure obesity and unhealthy eating skews the numbers greatly, gut health is very important but that doesn't have anything to do with sitting or excercising.
