Cecil 2 years after hitting .252 /39/117/.834 OPS was done playing baseball at 34.

Prince is 32 and not even a year after hitting ..308/23/98/.841 OPS, he's not looking like he'll have a career past 34 either.
That's what happens when your a professional athlete who doesn't take care of your body.

In the Red Sox defense, Crawford did not project to be a bad contract. He was great when they signed him and there weren't really any signs that he would be falling off before the contract ended. No excuses for the Dodgers though, they had already seen him underperforming for a year and a half in Boston and knew they were gambling.

The contracts of Fielder and Pujols etc are the ones everyone knew would turn out awful. To get 2-3 years of them playing well, you had to pay for the 5-8 years on the back end where they would be :flabbynsick:
