It's a good album, especially for a debut.
I had no pre-conceived opinions or thoughts about her when it dropped and when I listened to it, and I came away from multiple listens with 9 songs that I like and can listen to regularly or as part of different rotations/playlists.
Versatile is a good word, but as someone who listens to a LOT of music, versatility is sometimes a gift and a curse, because she could drop an album that leans all the way into one of her multiple directions and lose me. But that's her prerogative as an artist, and as a listener I can just say "not for me" and keep it moving until the next thing.
But for now I listen, like most music, with an open ear and not expecting her to be anything or do something specific, and I generally enjoy many of the things she does.
She executes at a good level, has a good ear for production, and what to do over that production in order to make the best version of the song.
