Shes untalented considering her accolades and the fact shes actually trying to be nice. Plus its moreso an attack on all you people in this thread who swore everybody was wrong and her growth was organic. She could pull a Kendrick and prove she truly is great,and the fake push was worth it because the potential was there the whole time. At least Em has the excuse that he doesn't seem like he gives a fukk about music besides rap, which he only likes due to loving the technical process of rapping and nothing else. Beats, drums, samples, loops....he doesn't give a fukk about any of that. I get the impression he doesn't like r&b, rock, jazz, nothing. It's just sound that can be rapped over.

I just find everything about her to be off putting, and you can tell she's being marketed directly to white audiences. Look at this dark black woman, don't you want to support a dark black woman? Isn't she beautiful? And she's queer! And she's rapping about mental health over a sample you may recognize! And I might have been able to overlook all that because she can actually rap...but then she opened her mouth and started shytting on black men, while waiving about bell hooks novels lol. Doechi wouldn't even need a white audience if this was the 90s,but there's really not enough people in the "urban" 16-24 demographic that like thoughtful music to go platinum, so she's either gotta crossover or make ratchet rap to move units.
