it's because either the work is done on the backend or the network replaces the hard work it would take
in a doctor's case the work is done on the backend

I don’t think people understand the full scope of the workforce making 100k. Which is why people always go to the same generic shyt, “lawyer” “accountant” “engineer”

there’s a bunch of 100k+ a year jobs that don’t even require education.

my uncle is a District manager at party city making 130 a year and that MF can barely read. And his job which he’ll tell you himself is largely delegation and macro management. Making sure everyone does their job and doesn’t fukk up. Emails, and meetings, but that’s it.

I’m an actuary. I send emails, pass along data, zoom meeting, and get quarterly performance checks and I’m en route to 120 this year, doing nothing.

How was the actuary exams? how long did it take for you to pass them?

having a skill and performing that skill doesn't mean you're working harder. some people are way too ego driven behind what damn job they have. I would imagine a lot of EMTs start out making somewhere in the $25k range and they have a lot of skill and i would say they are comparative to doctor. and on top of that they have to do a lot of this medical shyt in the field in hostile environments. Just an example.
They literally have to do one semester of schooling and they are qualified. Most emts probably would struggle with basic classes like organic chemistry and that some year one undergrad stuff for people wanting to become doctors

Plenty of people with shyt jobs do a shyt job of working hard at it. Likewise, you can have a high paying job and not have to work hard at all. Most minimum wage earners are minimum wage people, who provide a minimum wage level of service that required minimum skill. They arent unsung heroes from the Battle of Revelations. The disconnect is people believing that you only need to work harder to get paid more. And that is far from the truth. You get paid more when your VALUE increases. Not by spamming low kick to charge your super meter.

i would still say that are comparable to a doctor. they still need skills. I would imagine they work just as hard if not harder than doctors. they do alot of shyt in hostile environments. and the main point i was making is people compare $25k "burger flippers" to doctors and that's clearly what nikkas frame their arrogant stances around. I'm pointing out that "skill" can still be a $25k a year EMT with a gigantic amount of responsibility. What yall keep doing is equatic going to school as part of daily work. The question is about "work harder" not who went to school longer.

Do you want someone working in a warehouse performing surgery on you.

If not and that person's schedule is booked because he is charging 1 dollar for brain surgery, would you offer him 5 dollars if it meant you could get to the front of the line.

Perceived value matters.

Specialized skill is less available then labor anyone with 2 legs and arms can do.
