I've never been too big on Morgan Freeman, as he comes across as an old head, “back in the day” Uncle Tom, subservient, etc type of bruh who tries to appeal to White viewers, and the roles he plays give off a certain vibe.

He's not like Denzel, Wesley, or even Samuel L. Jackson in the prime of their careers. I could be wrong about him being a House Negro.

Still, I remember he made some tone-deaf comments about the “key to ending racism is not talking about it”, which now white folks are sometimes quoting him to try to “one-up” someone when the topic is brought up, and all of which left a bad taste in my mouth. That's a big reason why I don't watch his movies.

Freeman was mostly a Hollywood "Bus Rider", while actors like Denzel were "Driving the Bus" in Hollywood. Besides Driving Miss Daisy and probably Se7en, Freeman played in mostly supporting roles in great movies. Racism most likely played a major role in this, but at the end of the day, he's the premiere "Hollywood Wing Man".

Doesn’t have a Top Gun or Jason Bourne type of movie.

I can watch Denzel wash people in The Book of Eli, Equalizer movies, etc.

Morgan Freeman got nothing like that.

Awards, great reviews, etc. are nice and all but that doesn’t mean they’re better movies.

Got a great track record for sure but so does Jackson, DiCaprio and Hanks. I would say De Niro too but he's made A LOT of trash in his later years but in his prime he wasn't missing
