Aye dont feel too bad, I ALMOST got hustled too..
My moms friend got her one for free n the dude that puts kodi on the firesticks came to the crib to show her how it worked n all that.. So I asked him how much for me to grab one...
Dude told me he could hook me up for $70
Now Im a cheap azz dude and Ive done shyt like jailbreak my iphone n shyt, so all I did was google a lil bit then went n hit best buy n did it all myself.. its easy for real

Whole process will take you all of 20 minutes (If that)

Did you install it with the repository or just zip filed the add on? If you installed via zip file without the repository it's not being updated.

In the hypothetical situation I would know someone who used Kodi they would propably tell me Exodus is the go-to add-on for movies and series

The going rate for premium Monster HDMI cables is $130 too. Doesn't mean people aren't getting got daily
There is literally no such thing as a modded firestick. You just download the Kodi app, click two buttons and install what you want. People use the term modded and jail broken as buzzwords to get non-technical people to think they're getting a hookup. The craziest part is you WILL learn how stupidly easy it is to install if your install goes crazy and/or you have to upgrade.

Just build a cheap PC, it's worth it.. I just run a long HDMI cord along the wall to my laptop. Done with slow ass fire sticks and chromecasts...
But yeah I run Kodi Krypton... On Windows.
The 2nd gen fire tv box is best deal overall for someone who doesn't want to go the full PC and wants a portable little set up. It's smooth as butter
