Does anybody else get the sense that Black institutions held to a higher standard than our community at large

Going to have to get rid of the paganism to have a true community...
black people are some of the most religious people in America...

I don't think lack of belief is why we are at the bottom...

Black peoples expectations of everything are generally speaking far too low. That's why our neighbors tend to be the way they are, our schools, our relationships, businesses, etc.

Why is it, and what is it, about Black institutions that requires them to exceed the standards of the community? Especially if the community isn't holding up to these standards itself? And the people running them COME from said community?
we expect high standards because we have to work harder than everyone to earn the money to patronize them

we expect value for the money spent...

capitalism only fails the businesses that fail to capitalize.

Its like being broke and you leavong your crib a mess and not bothering doing essential shyt like vacuuming your room or changing your bed sheets or bleaching the bathroom and bathtub/shower.....even when low on funds, you gotta have dignity and pride on keeping your HOME clean.

Same shyt with HBCUs, keep it looking clean for the aake of dignity.

Yeah, I was thinking about the sort of complaints Ed was making. Trash on campus, a dirty office, they don't have money to do those basic things?
