Does anybody else hate making their bed and finds it pointless?

I'm a very clean person and always have been. I keep every area of my house clean wash my sheets and clothes regularly never let dishes pile up. The only thing I hate to do and only do unless I have to is make my bed. I don't even make the bed well when I do make it because I just hate the entire process. All my girlfriends my mom and grandmothers all get on me about making the bed and I can't stand it. I really don't see the point. As long my sheets are clean I really don't care. I did it today because my cousin who is a flight attendant was coming to visit me and I just felt I should do it but as I was doing it I said fukk it. This ain't me and I don't give a fukk what she thinks. Maybe it's the millennial in me.

I don't even keep my undergarments in a dresser much less make my bed. I remember one time I had a chick I was about to smash see my bed and hit me with the "Yo mama taught you better, fool". And playfully refused to give me cheeks until I made it up.

Sometimes I cheat by just covering the entire bed with a duvet and calling it a day but that's super rare.

so she makes it when i leave but when I come home

Agreed but its one of those things you have to deal with because you never know whos coming to see your room

making your bed and cleaning your room actually has been proven to make you happier. Its one strategy used to fight depression.

Unless I have a girl coming over I never make up my bed. I'm usually the only one who see my room any way so why make it up just to fukk it up

I do believe it does give you some degree of mental clarity but I just hate doing it.
