Does anybody find Pulp Fiction overrated?

The only thing that pissed me off is that Sam Jackson should of got the best actor Oscar Nomination instead of Travolta...He owned every scene he was in...Vincent was wack

Exactly. The movie isn't terrible and it's fair to say one of the reasons some would like the movie is because of how it was uniquely sequenced.

But it's not in the same category as Goodfellas, Shawshank Redemption, etc.

Its better then those movies.. more experimental, more interesting, more action packed. Theres only a handful of movies better then Pulp Fiction.

I prefer RD but I wouldnt say PF is overrated a lot, maybe a tiny bit. like any other praised movie, along its real fans, its praised by those who dont really LOVE it but rather followed the hype.

Its the defining movie of the 90s many say.

Its not perfect but its classic. Aint no arguing that. I remember seeing this shyt as a youngin in the theater and remember pretty much every moment. Movies was after first watch. Classic theatre experience.

The dialogue in Pulp Fiction was great. I watched this movie years ago but watching it now I couldn't see that much hype. The characters aren't that likeable aside from Jules and don't really have a goal. Let me reiterate one more time, the movie is not terrible, I just find it overrated.

I didn't like Bruce Willis, Ving Rhames, Travolta I didn't mind, Tim Roth and his girl were annoying. Uma Thurman had a good role in it.

If anything the minor roles like The Wolf, Quentin and Travolta's heroin connect were more entertaining than some of the leading roles.
