For a reasonable price? My copy got damaged, I'd prefer hardback. But would buy paperback too.

I got that book but will never let it go. You probably won't get it on here. I just checked and saw it on ebay for $73 and on amazon for $62. It's becoming rare and a classic...the price is just going to go up.

I know, I can't fukking believe that, it's such a great book, one copy I gave to a friend who passed away now, mine got damaged badly, and another copy I lent to somebody who lost it during a move. I said it was all good, cause it was available real cheap online so I thought I'd just buy another copy sometime and it would be all good, but just went to and it's some ridiculous prices. I don't mind paying $25 - $30 even, but some of these prices are crazy. But it is a great book, I might need to holla at Kool Moe Dee or something if I can't find that as I need that shyt, I show people, including up and coming rappers a lot using that book, the format and the guidelines given are very easy and gives people something to aspire too. I hope I can find that shyt, fukked up cause I had it originally a long time ago.

While I'm mentioning books, also trying to get The Seventh Child Malcolm X book and Labyrinth about the murder of Pac and Big.

But priority at the moment this Moe Dee book, Moe looks to be kind of hard to get hold of though. I might have to holla at some people I know who know him to see if they can help. Some more people must have a copy on here though, or a spare even.

I don't see how a book will teach you how to rap..I mean it's great for history..but that's about it

I didn't say it will teach you how to rap, I said I taught people a lot with it. Have you read it? Most people, including myself disagree with the rankings but he drops shyt about battling, lyrics, artists a lot of people aren't up on. It can make people aspire to put all the aspects he rated people on in their rhymes thereby making them better and more complete MC's. It's something a rapper can learn A LOT from, it's to me the best book in terms of rappin and being an artist an MC could read.

Also it make the young artists want to go and check the artists mentioned that they haven't in a lot of cases. And more artists are mentioned in sub lists than the actual list.

He does a breakdown of each artist and rates them in numerous categories. I know many MC's who love that book, sometimes they used to come to my house and would be always reading that book, found it fascinating. I've seen it help and aspire artists, and even people that aren't artists it gave a deeper understanding, it's got song lyrics in there like The Message, Beatstreet Breakdown, In The Ghetto, I Go To Work.
