Does anybody remember South Central?

This show only lasted 10 episodes and went under the radar completely. But it could've been one of the greatest black sitcoms of all time.

They dealt with gangs, drugs etc but it was a comedy.

It starred Larenz Tate in 1994 on Fox. Martin was dominating at that time so nobody really noticed.

They had an episode where Larenz didn't want his family on welfare so he took a loan from a known gang member. It was some real shiit.

Story about a single mom raising 3 kids in South Central. Her first son got killed as a gang member.

You will never see a show like this. It got canceled and it forced the creators to do a spin off....Moesha.

It was a great show. Me and my mom were disappointed when it got cancelled so quickly. Probably one of the realist to ever hit the air. The episode where he got his shoes took on the bus is a classic.

Yep. i also remember an unknown Jennifer Lopez being on the show. That show was ahead of its time IMO.

One of them shows I had to watch whenever it came on. I was so pissed when it was cancelled
