And people always forget that, prior to New 1017, Gucci never had an artist to blow up while he was free. He was locked up when every artist from his tree blew up or they blew up under somebody else's guidance. Now people see how instrumental that Deb Antney was to grooming the artists.

That's a big reason why you see New 1017 not be able to sustain any momentum because they either got locked up and/or he didn't know how to really push them. That's why He doesn't know how to mentor artists because he's never done it.

He's a great A&R but not so good at label and artist management.
