Are you getting native picture quality or reduced at those sizes?
I think it's native, or just slightly below. I think the main difference is in the sound like the poster mentioned above...

I mean, I have good vision and I have a ton of Blu-Rays... the rips I get all look very good and close to what I was used to seeing on the discs. That's why I can't really go for the 2GB rips or even the WEB rips that drop for these movies, because when you have a big TV (like 55 and up) you'll notice the drop off in quality.

And if your speeds are fine (I think you said you getting like 50mbps right?) downloading a 8GB movie in like 25 minutes is worth it over a quicker download but a lesser picture IMO.

Well sir, I have to thank you for your knowledgeable input
Now do you mind if I help correct a few things you wasn't sure of, while enlightening everyone here on a few thangs

1.) First line you write "I think it's native, or just slight below"
Well sir, I don't think. I know. I know that a 8gb BDrip is only 720p
NOTE: While both BRRips and BDRips are superior to DVDRips, they are normally released in 720p resolution, since standalone DivX (*.avi) players do not support anything higher than this anyways. They should not be confused with genuine Blu-Ray rips in 1080p, which are usually done in native Blu-Ray files
Once again, a native blu-ray file is gonna run you more than 8gb. FACT.

2.) If you peep the sig of Mister Golden Glove, you might notice how these BDrips are pretty important to him :heh:
He even talks about noticing the drop off in quality, yet he doesn't even realize he been rocking 720p movies all this time :wow:

3.) But he seems to notice when Xbox games are in 720p. Or does he?
Maybe, just maybe this thread is proof that the resolution war is really just some make believe bullshyt 3cepts have been using cuz they starving. Oh wait, they got indie games title Don't starve. So they obviously eating good :ufury2:

:win:

the 8-12gb rips are 1080p but at a way lower bitrate.

personally i rock those for dramas, comedies etc, but if its an action or superhero movie i get the bigger rips around 15-20gb with the HD audio tracks, and sometimes the remuxes. i probably cant notice the difference but im OCD like that, and it might help future proof me when i upgrade my setup in the future

I changed my sig a few days ago when I started streaming on my Twitch page.

But let's not act like your goof ass wasn't claiming 700MB AVIs = 8GB MKVs

:comeon:
The quality of a DVD vs a BDrip is negligible just like the difference from 1080p and 720p :umad:
You with your big ass TV STILL COULDN'T TELL :wow:
All this time, and all this shyt you talked about the subject
Yet all along, you had no idea (with the bigger TV size) that you was watching 720p

My point has been made 1,000x thanks to you :salute:

*Looks @ Battlefield 4 on XB1 and realizes its ok cuz GoldenGlove couldn't tell the difference*

Full...no

I mostly get 1080p and 720P rips ranging from 5gigs for comedies, drama to 10-13 gigs for big budget movies with special effects. Lately I've been getting some remuxes which are 15-25gigs, the difference is quite noticeable and it's usually 1920x1080 instead of x800.

Storage ain't an issue, got a 60MB connection and I get max speed, so it's usually quick, reliable and looks great on my Panny plasma.

TYRONE GA!
I recall sony gamers acting all high n mighty at one point about this subject
@Rekkapryde
@GoldenGlove (peep his sig)
Who else.. somebody, speak on this. Yall still doing that, or you now ride with lower quality rips?

I don't download lower quality rips :dahell:

The Blu-Ray Rips I get are between 7 to 14GBs

Anything over that I don't bother

This is what I do. The bigger sized rips are for better and uncompressed audio. My home theater setup is just my sound bar and subwoofer in my family room until I get my basement done.

Xvid rips aren't close to home rips if that is what you are trying to cyse

Bruh, first off. Thanks for playing :handshake:
I don't really care for a single word you said after reading it cuz its filled with all types of frawgshyt :lolbron:
There are not any 8gb rips of a blu-ray cuz there is no 8gb blu-rays
If you knew anything about resolutions, you'd understand that 1080p native qualtiy is not fitting in that small of a space bruh
THIS IS FACT
Now... why I am grateful of your post? Cuz @GoldenGlove then dapped your posting like if you was saving him some sort of face :laff:

Nah bruh, you just helped me dig a deeper hole for my homey :salute:
Instead of acting like you know what you are talking about. Maybe you should do some research on the subject.
I did. Yes, people will "name stuff 1080p BDrip/BRrip" but that doesn't = reality

Sorry if this news is a lil upsetting. I'm sure its devastating to some of you :shaq:
So I'm watching 720p movies because you say so?

You serious breh?
First Natiboy, now you bruh :mjlol:
Nah, not cuz I say so. Cuz YOU SAID SO.
Like bruh, you think I wasn't waiting for you to say what you said? Go peep every reply of mine
You was played bruh. Fell right into my xbot trap. 720p on a 55+ inch TV and not even the great KillaKen noticed all this time :wow:

:umad:
