Does anyone else feel it was over for Busta Rhymes lyrically as soon as he

cut his dreads? It was like he castrated himself. The mojo of animation that was in him was in his dreads. Everyone loved the wild, in your face, animated Busta, and then once he started getting brolic and eating meat nikka just started to deteriorate and now hes just some other rapper. He will still show flashes of animation but not as hype as it looked when he was younger. Wasnt Busta one of the first rappers to have dreads too? I remember Das EFX had nattys but Bus had long locks. Seriously look at this drastic transformation.

I dont know to me I feel like his dreads was apart of his swagger and it represented his growth as an emcee. When he had the hi top baby dread joints, it was like he was in fact a baby in this game with super talent and a destructive flow. When he cut em it was like he wiped away all of what was Busta, started over and created a wacker Busta. Dont get me wrong: Pass The Courvoisier and Touch It Remix were bangers but I miss being a kid watching Gimme Some More and Dangerous videos thinking to myself :what: Someone tell me two dreadless busta verses or songs that were better than Gimme Some More, his verse in Scenario, his verse in Case of the PTA, and all the shyt he dropped in the 90s.

Peep how Gimme Some More is a similar flow as his Look At Me Now verse but it was way more controlled and thought out.. Look At Me Now was all over the place and he couldn't even keep it coherent.

nail in the coffin was on one of those bullshyt 2010 remixes where in the middle of his verse the beat just silenced n he goes "ta ta ta ta tah, ta ta ta ta tah tah"

I don't understand why all these New York rappers just keep going and ruining their legacy when they are :flabbynsick:. Dude could have bowed out gracefully awhile ago. Now he has his fans questioning everything he does, other artists mad as fukk that he being featured on their tracks, and leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth. :usure: What the fukk are you doing with your career at this point? No one is anticipating his album. No one is looking forward to these features. When you get to the point where dudes are questioning whether or not you were good to begin with you need to fall back:stopitslime:

The dreads, and the sudden shift towards coke rap. Dude took Old Busta out back, hung him from a noose and then before he croaked from that, shot him in the head one time for good measure. Side note: When the topic of shyttiest, most disappointing albums comes up, Back On My Bullshyt cannot WAIT to spew out of my mouth. I hate that album so much that I kept it in my iPod like an audio scar. Like i'll scroll past it and have rage flashbacks. Talk about Legend of the Falloffs...

I guess I missed the memo.. :scusthov:

I think it got such a terrible reaction that he doesn't fly the flag. But I'm sure Bird man got homie locked in that contract.

Its like dude woke up one day and decided that he didn't like his lane anymore. He wanted to make that jump into the "Top Ten" debated category but stumbled something harsh. You can't, after many many years in the game just decide to switch up your ENTIRE image. Dude went from that funny, animated, fun kind of rapping guy With the boundary pushing Videos to Coke kingpin overnight thinking he was going to be taken "seriously":childplease:

The Big Bang wasn't a bad album, I still bump a few gems from that album, and his guest features aren't as horrible as people make them out to be, and he DOES get credit for making his career last as long in the mainstream as it has, but dude has fallen off when it comes to his own albums. Back On My BS was a travesty of EPIC proportions and his signing with Young Money doesn't bode well for his future...

Lyrically no, he's still technically as good as ever, and I'm not just saying that because he rhymes fast

But commercially yes. His edge was that zany side...without that like you said he's just another guy kind of.

And for what reason did he do it because a cartoon character like that would do numbers today I think...at least better than he does now

shyt the old Busta would be Nicki's right hand man...he lost out on big money potentially

Also he was a vegetarian and decided to start eating meat? Who does that :heh:

unless you're joking

Big Bang was dope though...he fell off now because he's trying too hard to stay relevant with the whole Young Money thing
