Does anyone here find any British comic funny?

I've see Ricky Gervais, Graham Norton Show Ali G ect. None of em are funny at all to me. I think American comics are rooted in the Richard Pryor style and they dont have that influence so they come off like bougie sarcastic, smart asses

Ricky gervais is shytty at stand up comedy but he writes hilarious TV like the office and extras.

Billy Connolly and Kevin bridges are really funny if you consider them British.

^^ this is fact. Basically the shows on the US are essentially very commercial and trying to appease everyone which ruins the comedy. UK doesn't have this selling out issue as they don't fight for ratings in the same way. For example U.K shows don't have canned laughter like that.

As for the stand up, U.K. Has good standup comedians but generally Americans don't like that style, and don't get it. Frankie Boyle is good example but would never work in America, the audience is way too sensitive and pc.

I wouldn't call the Pope a pedophile per se, more of a pedophile facilitator!

yet all white american comedians i have never found funny at all, george carlin, dane cook, bill burr, sienfield,etc

but all the black comedians are soooooooo funny, rarely watch a wack black stand up comic. that laughter from tears must be no joke.

Aye forgot Peter Kay he's another good one.

Not too fond of stand up on general though but there's a few i like.

Billy Connolly, Kevin bridges, Peter Kay and Patrice o'Neal are great. Dara o'briain is decent too.
