I mean as a black man in America, it feels like these white mufukkas try to find reasons not to hire you or am i just imagining it? Like, if you are applying for a place that you know you are really overqualified for, do you still get blocked for no good reason? It feels like this has been my experience, trying to interview with people that i can tell i am better than and then i don't hired. I am perfectly cordial and nice and everything but these fakkits either give some bullshyt excuse in the interview or i don't get the interview to begin with. I'm about to graduate school but still, this shyt irks me to no end to have skill-less scrubs looking down on me as if they're on my level.
Didnt read past the first run on sentence

I dont think its hard to get work if you got credentials but i think you got to carry yourself different

I carry myself as military... Show up before they want me too, don't bullshyt with what you know. I'm serious about everything but i can still be chill... I think thats what most of them want. Im not angry or nothing but i dint fukk around when it comes to the job. If you come into it feeling like its more than what it is then i think you gonna have issues.

Take direction but be able to make decisions without direction.

I look at my job as trying to make thing easier for the people above me... Same shyt in military. I will make decisions without caring of repercussions.. I think thats what most of them want imo

No, I'm going through the same thing as well. And got dammit, it's frustrating as fukk.

But at the same time, i would think its best to check "black" if they ask about your race. I mean, if they dont hire you because of it, then i'd think you dodged a bullet. I wouldn't want to work at a company for racist people. :yeshrug:

That's cool. I'm trying to get to where you at breh cuz right now lowkey i'm going thru exactly what op said. I apply for jobs I know damn well i should be getting, especially given my technical experience...and most of the time I don't even get the interview, when I do it's on some "we'll call you" bs:camby:

You know how bad it feels to get turned down for janitorial positions breh...
Maybe you should fanagle the resume a little. A few tweaks make a big diff

Breh I forget what area you are in but certain regions aren't conducive to Black Men moving up. You got to move to NYC or LA or something if you want to get something popping.

These CACs in the South and Midwest holding onto their job security for dear life until Trump gets elected. And if Hilary gets elected they'll be even more paranoid about hiring Blacks oddly enough.

They need an Old CAC to tell them everything is gonna be alright (even if it isn't).

Acquire a skill OP. Problem solved.

What did you major in?
You will have to outsource your skills and expertise. That's the new wave, take what you know and sell it via web to those in other countries. Don't limit yourself.

BS or at least in tech. I live in the midwest and it's easy for to get jobs in the medical field or tech. I suppose that equal employment opportunity thing is at every job I have been to though. Experience seems to be more important than degrees these days for a lot of fields. 2 years internship @ tech school is getting me jobs I shouldn't have.
