i think mark is just a genuine oddball. his augustus octavia fan boy. now he only eats meat he kills himself these are just some small things but i agree howard hughes is a greater example. you cant be in this lifes rat race and still make it to the top, these eccentric skilled people dont participate in the rat race. they just dead on their own paths, i respect it.
The rat race will always lead to an average life. Even if you make it to the top. At least for the majority anyway

for sure but like boxing pros you can watch fights and expert analysis and pick up a few things.
i think it boils down to your thought process. your thinking. are you major leagues or minor leagues, you could be major leagues and broke with your thinking. thats the characters that persevere and prosper. you could be a ceo and have minor league thought process.
examples of minor league : renting room shares, iphone latest purchasers, coffee house goers, etc.
examples of major league : affordable homes with intention of buying, doesnt keep with trends, makes own coffee, etc.
so you either are or you arent rings true, with how i see it.

The richest man in the history of the republic John Rockafella was literally the most non-eccentric person on earth. Super religiously conversative. He straight up had an iron fist on production, acquisitions, and competition.
He moved an inch at a time and maintained. Never tried to innovate. Just food for thought while everyone is praising people.
