Does Big Sean belong in the same category as Drake, Kendrick and J. Cole?

Truth is the fourth should be Wayne

He’s the founding father of Drake, Kendrick, and Cole
I put Wayne as the top three from the era prior it would be Wayne Kanye idk the 3rd

Then the era before that 2pac jay nas and big (yeah it’s 4 instead of 3 but it’s way too close to leave one out)

Big sean makes great music. Just not at one time. He doesnt have a filler bar. Which is a hard feat to accomplish.

Id say future deserves it. But doesnt have the critical acclaim like the other 3.

This is a tuffer question to answer than some might think. If we're measuring by "dominant" or "popular" metrics most would probably say "no." However, I think the '10s rapper are tough to judge because most of them have classic or highly respected works that are honestly quality albums categorized as mixtapes. I'm also biased because my nikka KRIT desreves more respect. :mjcry:

Also, while Cole is one of my favorite artists, I can't help but to wonder if we'd be having this conversation/who would've taken his spot if he didn't live up to his full potential? As time goes on nikkas forget that his first album didn't do what we all thought it would/could. That second album was a much better effort and helped put him back on track, imo (Bumpin' "Miss America" right now.).

Those 3 left him in the dust. He never really got put on that pedestal. I’d put him a bit ahead of A$AP Rocky so not successful but never quite reaching that heavy hitter status. He had a good career all things considered. No need to elevate unnecessarily
