True, but you gotta admit some of his shyt is dope.

My niece was playing Finesse, and i couldn't help but shake my azz.
New jack swing needs to make a comeback, asap.

That song is watered down as hell. Its not bad but it sounds like new jack swing for non black people if that makes sense.

Saying that his first album (or second one for that matter) wasn't really catered to a black audience

not necessarily that pop music = not black. my bad on that one
This is black music catered to white people. If it was catered to blacks you see more people who looked like the creatures of his sound in his videos.

This is something that always bugged me about him. He's basically a great cover act. Taking old great riffs and whatnot. Breh is supreme talent, but he's not that tradition of the great R&B acts who create their own sound.

But, I'm a salty old head and my girl checked me once during that half time show, so now I watch what I say about him :mjlol:

I'm not saying you're wrong, but my thing is, how the hell are we getting mad at dude for "jacking" anything if we don't take advantage of the situations ourselves (btw, is he black, mixed, mexican?)?

All I hear from our R&B artists is fukkin, smoking, eating ass, breaking up, and partying...who's fault is it for not snapping out of the bullshyt and coming up with dope concepts?
Yup. No reason Trey Songz can't do this, but he won't stop talking about those things you mentioned and as a result, he plays county fairs and conventions.

All we have to do is make these artists who are making this music hotter. People swear these young cats are eating good off of streaming, why can’t these more underground singers get in the top 10? I’m not a big Bruno fan because I just don’t care about him but I have no problem with what he’s doing. You got nikkas making trap R&B and now you got the older singers like Tank, Mary J, Jasmine Sullivan, and Ledisi singing over them types of beats. We can make that music pop again... just get out here and fukkin do it.

once again you are missing the point

There isn't even a R Kelly artist in existence right now

Chris Brown has never dominated anything his entire career

black artist aren't even relevant in music outside of instagram

bruno mars is better than any black artist right now, and thats just the reality

you can call him a scam or whatever, but who doing it better than him

all these nikkaz is trash

you sitting here talking about R. Kelly dawg

He before my time

Aalyah been dead dawg, she would be mya status right now lmao, irrelevant

Why you still have to lean to R. Kelly for an example
who last big run was the early 2000's
I heard R Kelly's music, but I'm not of that generation
my R. Kelly is the Ignition remix, I'ma flirt R Kelly, not bump and grind

THATS THE PROBLEM

THE GAME IS THAT DRY

THE FACT YOU HAVE TO GO ALL THE WAY BACK TO R KELLY HAS A REFERENCE POINT TO COMPARE THESE NEW nikkaZ TOO
Damn... that’s a good ass point. Like yes artists are out here doing their thing now but they ain’t sharing the same stage as a Beyonce or Rihanna... Them the only 2 we got. Yeah people need to stop talking about R. Kelly man, he’s been washed. The 90’s version of Kells been gone
