I miss the days when wrestlers would raise their hands to the fans while walking down the aisle. When heels were heels. I remember going to a WCW event in atlanta back in the day and some kid tried to pat a heel on the shoulder as he came out the back and the heel swatted his arm off and the kids own hand hit him in the eye. He sat there and cried for for 5 mintues. It wasnt part of the script. Heeling these days really requires disliking and disrespecting the fans and i think after all the butt kissing cena has done, his heel turn in this fashion could be legendary.

It's too late at this point IMO. The IWC and the hardcore fans like us would care, but I don't think it would bring in any new viewers. A couple of years ago it would have been a big deal, but I think that ship has sailed. Unless he hits the AA on a crippled kid or spits in the face of a vet I don't think the average person would care enough to start watching again.
