IF you keep about slavery, it stay about black americans, and we have a stronger argument for why we deserve the funds.
You try to include black codes, then you will have mexicans trying to lump themselves in for being discriminated against, and eventually ethinic groups of white immigrants too.
Reparations is for slavery and lost wages from the free labor . period. keep it simple

Back wages is a direct amount that can be researched and proven. and as a debt. Its a clear and simple argument that can't be refuted by any false moralizing. wrong or right depending on the ethics of whomever is in power you can't argue that the money is owed.

The other stuff complicates it and makes it less likely to be accepted. Because you are including emotional arguments into what should be simple matter of debt collection, lumping in every complaint into the reparations argument doesn't help. Better to address those issue individually and separately.

If you make this out a punishment for racism,(which is what you are trying to do) white people will reject it.(which is what they have always done) If you make this out as a debt for unpaid wages. They aren't being penalized for racism, we are simply just receiving our just compensation. That is harder for them to dispute
