Been wondering this just on a marketing ting. Coli is only the start. The average Coli Drake hater will post in a Drake sneezed thread before a new album thread from an alleged pure rappers rapper.

The attention Hotline Bling for example got for the funny moves. The promotion machine kinda pushes itself keeping him in the conversation.

Every single detractors who hates his music will listen to that's More Life at least to give an opinion. Again, keeping the popular discussion about Drake.

Do you guys think the amount of haters does dude more harm or good ? Geneuine question.

I would estimate that Drake's fanbase went up by 1/3-4 after the Meek beef.

His haters began to hurt more too, which is evident on the internet, but not in actual real life. Hating on Drake kinda became a meme during 2016.

Nobody in real life gonna hate on Drake the way they do online.. Other people would just think they're straight up weirdos for hating like that - and the haters knows this. Thats why they have to let go off all their anger and insecurities through binary code

His increased fanbase deffo helps him make more money and its not like the internet hate he receives gonna influence that.

But if we look at it from an economic standpoint (Album sales , notoriety etc) , it'll be more beneficial but his credibility as a rapper been tarnished for a grip , we'll always enjoy his music from a sonical perspective but now that we know he gets more assistance than usual it shifted him in the pop star vein and personally there's nothing wrong that , I think dude should just embrace it and stack his bread because the longer you try to live a lie it's just adding more stress to your life .

People say "it's moved him into a pop category" but in reality He enjoys the luxuries of being popular and top of the rap game. Nobody's album gets more buzz on this RAP forum. Why don't pop rappers like pitbull and Florida get that ?

The rappers still come to him for a verse, his music still get played in the blackest of spots, he enjoys all the luxuries of being at the top of the rap game.

Legends work with him, up and coming hip hop acts. Nas just put him in his top 5.

This is the coli though, you can find more haters here than on twitter with their half a billion members.

If the real world mirrored this site it wouldve been an interesting question. But then Nas would be Stevie Wonder, MJ, Steve Jobs and Beatles rolled in one. Chance the rapper would be Donald Trumps strategic advisor and Drake would have the same status Kanye West has with racists after the T Swift incident. J. Cole would open for Troy Ave and the list goes on.

It doesn't hurt him cause true hip hop heads don't buy his albums. His sales come from pop fans:yeshrug: It helps cause his weirdo fans cape and dikkride him more:heh:

Nas in your avi just put him in his top 5. Stop lying to yourselves to make it convenient. You go outside, you know hip hop fans fukk wih Drake breh.

I guarantee even you have listened to every Drake album :mjlol:

You will probably tell yourself nah Nas just being political to make yourself feel better. I can name a few legends who have praised Drake breh

But back to the question. Do Drake haters affect Drake success negatively ?

Because dude releases good music , so of course it's going to be anticipated . Pitbull & Flo Rida are more in the EDM/Pop category they just so happen to spit over that type of music and Drake's sound is more Urban so wouldn't make sense to compare them ... and Nas just playing politics he's been for a minute now but if that's genuinely how he feels that doesn't really negate anything I'm tryna say , Drake's notoriety and fame isn't damaged but his credibility of a rapper/mc is though , everything he releases is always questioned if dude was really behind the pen or not off the strength of the whole Meek/Drake shyt , but like I said before dude got memorable hits so we'll always remember him for those but he'll never be in a Nas , Jay , Cam lane when we referring to pen game and there's nothing wrong with that , he and even you should just embrace it for what it is instead of trying to play a position you not qualified for .

I touch a nerve ?
Mute me. :umad:
& Nah not at all my G , it's just something that so evident to me and others on here , I ain't losin sleep over it :manny:

It's always hilarious to me when someone will rather say "he's playing politics".

Dudes really aren't comfortable with reality. A LOT OF PEOPLE IN REAL LIFE LIKE DRAKES RAP MUSIC AND RNB MUSIC

Legends, Athletes, casual fans, hip hop fans. Why is it so hard to swallow. Nas ain't trying to get a Drake feature and if he was he doesn't need to put him in his top 5 to get it :mjlol:

Now mute me

But back to the question. Do Drake haters affect Drake success negatively ?

NaS did not put drake in his goat top 5:mjlol: He said currently. And while NaS is my goat he has said many things I disagree with. I'm not obligated to agree with everything he says:lmaonas: So why even bring NaS into a Drake thread in the 1st place:wtfnas:

Every rapper has haters, Drakes are not unwarranted. Hip hop is a power struggle of a genre and the supposed king is weak right now from his last bout with a young lion, the rest of the pack is simply baring their fangs and spectators want blood:yeshrug:
He will always get exposure regardless of haters but it's deeper than just pepole hating on him and that's what Drake fans need to understand, there is a whole volume of hip hop tired of him and you can't ignore them forever
