Does homelessness terrify anyone?

Yep. Never been homeless and got plenty of family that would take me in but being surrounded by it makes me think. Ran into 1 dude that even look like an older version of me.

I try to look out as much as I can but its just too many. I no lie walk by probably 10-15 of them just taking a 5 min stroll to the corner store. I’m downtown and alot of downtowns are like that but still.

Not at all, but I’ve been homeless twice. Once in college for 5/6 months and another time in the streets of NY for 4/5 months. My apprehension was going to the shelter. I was a college educated man waking up in a room full of junkies and prison nikkaz, but I would do it again if I had to. It actually made me a better man

It does but I don't think about it because fortunately it's almost impossible for that to happen to me. I know five people that wouldn't let it come to that. The cosmos would have to shyt on me big time for me to end up on the street.

Yeah that shyt is terrifying. I was homeless for two days (pride reasons) years ago and that terrified the hell out of me. I had all my belongings with me in the car with no place to go.
I swore to myself I would never deal with this again

Anything bad happen during those homeless situations?

nah, I was good. Had a gym membership so I would shower up and hit the weights.

I did have a mentally unstable roommate at the shelter that was trying to play me. Instead of engaged, I took the last bit of money I saved up and got a room. The rest is history

Put a woman on the curb to beg for money while a manager patrols the area to collect donation so they can buy for knows what. Head bum sitting at Basecamp waiting for proceeds.

How did you survive breh?

shyt I don’t even know. In college, I would buy chips from the dollar store and stretch it all day. I did this for months. Eventually I squatted in an abandon house, bought a hot plate from the thrift store and tried to make easy shyt to get by like rice and soup.

in ny, some days I ate, some days I didn’t. The shelter provided meals but they were real strict about times so some times, I would get chips or something small from kfc and chill. I never ate out trash cans or anything like that. I had a litte bit of money (3/4 hundred) so I would try to make it stretch. When I got a job, I saved up and got out. It was hard because I really didn’t have enough for an apartment so I had to be industrious about it and rented a room.
