Im viewing these totals and i gotta confess im not liking that this new Drake album outsold Kendricks, in less time.

As of December 2013, the album has sold 1,259,000 copies in the United States, making it the fifth best-selling album of 201 - Drake

As of December 15, 2013, the album had sold 1,109,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan - Kendrick

Those pop fans really came through for Drake. Hopefully real hiphop wins the next battle.

No, Drake has a much wider fanbase and is more established in the industry.

Dot is considered a new artist (as far as mainstream rap is concerned) but with a solid sophomore follow up, will be on the same tier.

I guess im upset that Kendricks album didnt resonate with the fans to a greater degree then Drake. Especially when i consider that Drakes last album wasnt real hiphop.

Drake's last album was hot but I wouldn't fret too much. Kendrick still sold a milli. That's a win for hiphop and a win in general in today's climate
