Does it not feel like it's almost Christmas to anyone else?

Sister just asked me earlier what I want for Christmas (lazy ass last minute shopper)
I told her skyrim :shaq:

How is it? I ain't down for all the spiders tho, I heard big ass ones be everywhere :merchant:

there are spiders all over but they die easily, especially in caves

the game is so fun and deep, Im 300+ hrs in and still finding new shyt to do

its crazy because the fallouts were so big in scope, but skyrim is on a whole different level in customizations, quests, perks, skills, etc. the map in size is 4 times larger than fallout 3

I have been thinking the same thing the last few years so I made a concerted effort this year. Sacrificed my usually listening in the car for a light rock station that does Christmas music only all month. Put up some decorations. Have been going to Christmas events. Go to light displays. Even went shopping early. Even set keyword Christmas on the DVR and have been watching hella Anne Hache/Haley Duff/Jenny McCarthy romantic Christmas movies. Still nothing.

I concluded its the anticipation that goes away when you are older. You can't get things for yourself, so you live, eat and breathe that life of finally getting the stuff you wanted. Plus, you were a kid and you liked cartoons. The christmas ones were like events.

then you had all the regular cartoons and shows with Christmas episodes that were hopeful and naive. Now everyone is cynical or depicts Santa being captured or hurt. They used to show people getting gifts, so you would get hyped. Now you can get what you want yourself.

Came home in the spirit and my folks ain't even got a tree up this year. :beli: Nothing but stockings hanging over the fireplace looking :flabbynsick:

First time in my life I haven't been excited for Christmas but I attribute that to getting older. Got my folks some nice things and I'm getting my mother a day at the spa to top it off so I'm looking forward to their reactions. :obama:

I kind of wish I had kids to buy gifts for. lol All my siblings are grown and we buy each other gifts all the time. Seeing my parents will be great but they don't go all out like they used to for Christmas.

I'm listening to some great Christmas music right now too.

Dammit I want to be in the spirit. I decorated and everything. I haven't watched any Christmas Specials on ABC Family so that might be why. :ohhh:
Parents? as in u have a mom AND dad? your dad really needs to murder himself for raising a fakkit such as yourself.

Can anybody tell me what Christmas is supposed to feel like? It's always just been one day off in a streak of days to me.

I'm 58% in the Christmas spirit. I bought all my presents, decorated a tree, and occasionally listen to holiday classics but it just doesn't feel like it.

I honestly had no idea Xmas was Tuesday.

I remeber when Xmas once meant something to me.

No I' don't even mind if I work on that pagan holiday.
