PEOPLE HAD THIS ATTITUDE IN 2000 AND LOOK WHAT HAPPENED, BROTHER! BUSH REMOVED CLINTON'S ANTI-TERRORISM POSITION FROM THE CABINET BECAUSE THE REPUBLICANS ALL THOUGHT CLINTON'S MOVES AGAINST BIN LADEN AND COMPANY WERE JUST A DISTRACTION FROM HIS SEX SCANDAL, DUDE! AND THE GORE FAMILY DOESN'T HAVE AN EQUIVALENT TO BANDAR BUSH (google him), SO A GORE ADMINISTRATION WOULD NOT BE IN BED WITH SAUDI ARABIA AND WOULDN'T HAVE MADE UP REASONS TO INVADE IRAQ, MEAN GENE!

DO YOU THINK CELEBRITY BUFFOON DONALD TRUMP SHOULD HAVE COMMAND OF AMERICA'S NUCLEAR ARSENAL, BROTHER?

There are degrees to this. Hillary might be a 3rd Obama term, but a rethug president would make things much, much worse.

I am becoming increasingly intrigued by Trump vs Sanders in the general election. I will not vote for Hillary and the other republicans are completely insane. To answer your question OP, I would say it depends. Assuming the POTUS is a company man, congress still holds sway over his Supreme court appointments and they have the ability to override any executive actions he takes so his powers are limited. I know congress matters on a local and state level. I would say that the office of the president matters more than you think and less than many people think. If Obama's term ended right now he could point to the healthcare bill, incarceration rates, unemployment rates, the equities markets, gay rights, energy prices and other areas where we are clearly better off than the end of the Bush era but republicans could point to his breaking of promises,long-term unemployment especially for minorities, the healthcare bill(with their own spin) the rise of ISIS, unchecked Russian aggressions into eastern europe and other areas where they could paint him as a weak president. I guess it depends on your point of view. I think we are in a better place than the summer of 2008 so I think the office does matter. I believe conspiracies exist but I am not a conspiracy theorist. :yeshrug:

Not when you get a majority of the opposite part in the house and senate.

Not when once that happens nothing gets passed, nothing gets done, and all the blame falls on the president and not everybody in the house and senate for it.

One man doesn’t change everything alone. 535 people do though. When you vote for prez, mae sure you vote for everything else also.
