A side of forever my lady. there is absolutely no reason for them to delve into up tempo new jack swing, but devante needed a creative outlet. Diary of a mad band was a better flowing album, my heart belongs 2 u being thier best song, but the singles from forever my lady were so much better.

I completely agree, those uptempo NJS tracks on the 2 first albums are instant skips. By the time The Show, The Afterparty, The Hotel dropped in 1995 NJS was no longer a thing and they found the perfect balance of slow jams with mid tempo grooves like "Bring On Da Funk" and "Get On Up". That album is a classic to me with no skipped tracks (except all those damn interludes and skits).

The Show the Afterparty the Hotel is their best album imo. I feel like they really developed their own sound on that album. Damn shame they broke up after that
Im never been an r&b fan but I fukk with that album hard. I can’t even sit here and act like I can debate about Jodeci music, but that album is a classic to me

I just saw them in concert last month. They did a damn good job.
I agree though. They have some classic singles but I don’t know about a full album.
