He can easily blackmail him into becoming a spy or a mouthpiece for Russian interests and propaganda. Just like they did to fukking Donald Trump. Remember the whole Helsinki meeting debacle? He, the President of the United fukking States, stood before the world like a battered dog, kissed Putins ass, and denied any accusations against the man. Even turning against OUR OWN INTELLLIGENCE AGENCIES. The man was compromised and black mailed and they can easily do the same thing to Kanye.
The point is to gain control over "influential people" in order to advance their interests.
Now Kanye is a fukking narcissist who will take on any contrarian view if he thinks it makes him look like some groundbreaking thought leader. So chances are he will return from this trip speaking praises of Putin and Russia no matter what, but dont be shocked at all if Kanye returns from this trip a pro-Russia lapdog and remains that way for the rest of his life.
