ketchup consist mostly of vinegar. I don't keep vinegar in the fridge, and I don't keep ketchup in the fridge. furthermore, I don't even like ketchup, so the only reason I have it in the crib is for guests or my kids when they here.

Honestly i'm the same. I only use ketchup on burgers. and i only grill burgers during the summer. a single bottle lasts me over a year.
My daughter likes putting on her eggs and hashbrowns, but she usually eats cereal for breakfast,
Thats mainly why i refrigerate. that shyt will turn brown and go rancid on me otherwise.
I think the people leaving it out must use a lot of ketchup. probably putting on their steak and shyt
