He could be doing it to get his teammates fired up. The same way a player that's hot exhibits some extra emotion after making a crazy shot. If you're unguardable, you're going to walk it no matter what. Bird was a ish-talker from tip-off until end of game. Same for GP, same for Jordan, same for Bird, Reggie, Barkley, AI on a lower scale Jason Terry, same for others. You either do or you don't, but don't wait until you're up then start flexing and being extra animated. If he was emotionless for he entire game, it would be different, but he goes from one extreme to the other.
Only Tim Duncan can make physical confrontations look boring as fukk..
