Melo buys into the whole team concept but if guys aren't hitting shots or become reluctant to shoot what is Melo to do?

Without Melo last couple games the ball movement has returned but I think that says more about players stepping up more than Melo.

You summed it up. Melo passes the ball it's just when people are missing he tries to take over . the same thing Kobe or Jordan would do. The biggest flaw to me about melo is when he's not getting calls he gets over aggressive and plays out of control .

Last night vs the thunder with 5 athletic players save for Kurt Thomas on the court at all times, the knicks were very active and playing more uptempo ball, and getting some good looks.

Melo in the beginning of the year was more focused on keeping in the flow of the offense. As of late though, he's been holding the ball a lot. Him taking the ball up the court alone puts the offense at a disadvantage IMO. He holds the ball 6-10 seconds usually trying to decide what to do. When you give someone else the ball though they are moving immediately. Amare gets the ball and burns 5 seconds at most. Chandler goes up immediately or passes. Felton is going towards the basket most of the time.

Melo stalls alot.

What do they do to remedy this?

Jr carried the knicks last night thats why they played well in the game, not cause of ball movement, im tired of this ball movement bullshyt every time the team plays decent with out melo. The team had 10 total assists last night.

I'm also calling bushyt on melo supposedly moving the ball so much more when the knicks were winning earlier in the season. It's bullshyt. Melo, jr, kidd, brewer, and felton were shooting the at 40 + percent from three thats why the knicks were winning. Melo was still isoing still catching the ball in the post, doing the same shyt he does now.

Now that no one on the team except novak is shooting 40 + from three, nikkas and casual fans wanna blame Melo. Its bullshyt. Melo still finding the open man, still passing out of the double. nikkas aint been knocking they shots j kidd was like 4 for 44 from three before the miami game. Brewer got kicked out of the rotation, jr numbers dropped felton numbers dropped even Melo numbers dropped. Instead of people just accepting that the knicks are a jump shooting team and sometimes there hot and sometimes their cold, they would rather blame melo.

Its only two people on the team who even drive to the basket thats melo and felton.

The funny thing is coaches tell their players to always touch melo never let him get easy shots . And you see the replays 90% of the time the defender has his hand smack dab on Melos chest and he's still getting no call the refs don't Like the way he barks at them you can tell because he gets called for the most silly offensive fouls and ticky tack defensive calls I've ever seen a star get .

Co sign. Melo wasn't passing the ball much more than he is now, he was actually passing a little less to be honest, it's just everyone was making their shots. Everyone was saying "he makes the right play now" when the only thing that changed was everyone's shooting percentage, didn't wanna say shyt though, I was glad Melo was getting some love for once. But the talks were overblown just like his reputation as a ballstopper and a ballhog is

The Knicks are not better off without Melo, that's an absurd thought. We could've used him down the stretch yesterday too, all that "ball movement we had in the fourth consisted of nothing but us swinging the ball on the perimeter and taking contested jumpshots; nothing Melo would've been a disruption to. You need someone like Melo who can create his own shot and draw fouls at the rim, someone to put pressure on the defense instead of settling every possession, someone to draw double teams and suck the defense in.Fact of the matter is, is that we won't go fart with JR being the main offensive threat instead of Melo

If carmelo fukks up everything why are they a 2 seed this year? I mean last year they would have been a 4 seed without melo according to you. But this year they are a number 2 seed with him.
