Yo I didn't notice until this week watching something on NBA TV that ever since the 90s, any program that focuses on black people, this guy Michael Rapaport is sounding off. Does he have a hood pass, what makes him such an authority on our culture?

michael rappaport is legit and you can tell he isn't one of those fake whites. he came out and bluntly said mackelmore is wack and shouldn't have won the grammy. he's always been a huge fan of hip-hop from its beginnings, and he regularly appears at shows. he's definitely a hip-hop head and understands that it's a musical staple of black culture. he's also directed quality films about hip-hop.

QTip was aggy over the movie accurately portraying him as being an ego-centric dikkhead sometimes. Phife supported the movie. It was a personal conflict with some of the tribe members, and I think the movie vindicates Rappaport. I think they all worked it out, but you're right there were issues during the movie's initial release.
