Does MMA need more weight classes like boxing?

Something needs to be done about the weight classes. Figuring out a solution is above my pay grade, but the status quo is pretty awful. Dangerous weight cuts, dudes missing weight, etc. The system is so clearly broken. Its mind boggling.

I think it's idiotic to have a 15lbs difference in Welter and MW and then a 20lbs difference in MW and LHW. Do like boxing and get in between both. That's a ridiculous weight cut.

Like @OC's finest said make a 165 and 195 weight class and bump Welter to 175.
