Truth.

The thing is, I see girls liking Nas joints that aren't even the chicks songs.

I knew a girl who was really into "Small World", lol. She would play it in the car all the time. But most don’t have the patience to really sit and process lyrics, let alone learn them and then be able to recite the rhymes. They'll know hooks, but no verses, with Nas. You're right about that.

Pretty much.. this comes from a dude who has brought most of Nas' catalogs

Jay-Z is more relatable to the women. His music was always flashy. My girl for some reason likes Reasonable Doubt

Answer is no.

People confuse songs with R&B hooks as being for hoes, but hoes don’t even f*ck with those tracks like that. Nas only has a couple joints that are certified classics that you see chicks really vibing to as "chick songs". The Mariah joint being one of them. Women didn't like "You Owe Me". LOL!! I remember when they used to do Battle of the Beats on Hot 97, and "You Owe Me" was up against "How to Rob", and all the girls were picking 50's joint. People have to stop assuming that girls always want a formulaic track with a singy hook. Most dudes who actually chill with women, will tell you that hoes ain't really into sh*t like that all the time.

But if we're speaking about songs about women, Nas doesn't have anything on the level of a "Song Cry". Women love "Song Cry". STILL! Chicks will quote random lines from it, in real life. But Jay has always been one of the best at making tracks where he talks about chicks, even when he's dissing them, and women will still vibe out to the sh*t.

"Is That Your Chick" isn't even his track, but women think it is, and go crazy when he does it at shows.

"Big Pimpin'"
"Ain't No N*gga"
"Excuse Me Miss"
"I Just Wanna Love U"
"Best of Me (Remix)" with Mya
"I Don't Wanna Be Alone' with Shai
"Excuse Me Miss Again (La, La, La)"

There's a lot more. But very few MC's have had women in the pocket the way Jay has. Go to any show and you'll see them knowing every single word, even when he was saying misogynistic sh*t, lol. On his tour with Mary, he would say "Ladies, I'm sorry about this sh*t about to say up here". And the ladies in the crowd would literally yell back 'We love you! We don’t care!" Hov has always had the hoes on the lock.

As far as Nas, the aunties STILL want to get with Nas. Since day one, they seem to like him more than the actual music. Girls were showing up to the Illmatic signing just to meet and see Nas to take pics, but didn't want to buy the album, lol. The hoes have always been vocal about loving his looks, but they can't recite sh*t from the albums.

I stopped reading at women don’t like You Owe Me, you’re a ok poster usually but your takes on Nas are ridiculous and obviously bias, women love You owe Me and they love Oochie Wally also.

This track resonates with younger females more than any Jay track in years, facts, aunties love Nas, the younger crowd don’t love Nas or Jay, but the Shea butter crowd definitely fukk with Nas more than Jay.

Oh yeah..

Jay-Z is very blunt to the women whereas with Nas, he'll speak with riddles.

Nas probably loved Oochie Wally

I remember Premier saying the same thing. How Jay is very relatable to women. And he could see that in him when they did "A Million and One Questions" with the Aaliyah vocal sample. His run was definitely laced with a lot of material that women still go crazy for, but even the records that you wouldn't expect them to be into.

Women to this day, still say they love Reasonable Doubt, lol. He came in speaking about a lifestyle and topics that women like hearing about, but not in a corny or forced way. He just had his finger on the pulse for what people wanted to hear. Ladies, included.

I remember when the "La, La, La" joint was out, and girls were feeling bad about rocking the Steve Madden boots because Jay called them the Manolo Blahnik knockoffs. And girls started going out and buying the real ones because Hov clowned the fake ones, lol. He would literally be telling women what to do on these records, and their dumbasses would be out there following the advice. Sh*t was crazy.

Delusional, I ain’t seen hardly any female celeb talk about Jay, Nas has literal musical icons writing classics about him.

Lauryn Hill wanted him to be the only rapper featured on Miseducation.

Girls love Excuse Me Miss Song Cry and a couple other Jay songs, they’re not deep into his discography, Nas has less popularity but he completely has the Neo Soul Rnb crowd a lot more tuned in, this is why you can get the likes of Amy Winehouse, Teedra Moses, Solange all in awe it’s partly other things but also the music he resonates with that crowd.

I was just about about to post this too. LOL!!

"Just put a little in the baggy, put a little in the purse".

Luda came out and said Jay pissed him off because he had to return his X5 because that was the 'Baby Mama Mobile" now. Jay did the same sh*t with the Range Rover's with the whole 4.0 vs 4.6 sh*t. Dudes were actually trying to clown people for not having the 4.6. Haha!! That's how much influence that dude had with his songs.

I think this Nas vs Jay obsession is unhealthy at this point.

Some of y'all still get mad about about a beef that was squashed 18 years ago. Get help.
