Even if he's sapped of his athleticism or explosion, which is total conjecture, he is still damn near 7'0 tall with the ball skills and shooting ability of an elite SG.

You don't trade that away before he's even 27. If he walks, he walks.

I know it sounds ridiculous right now but look back at Drose going from a MVP to irrelevant status it happens breh you remember Penny, Grant Hill?. Kevin Durant might of left in free agency and with the Jones fracture not healing right you gotta weigh your options if your OKC.
If it's not healing right, why would anyone else want him?

No, you'll never get close to full value for him. Its worth it for the Thunder to try and rehab him, because Durant has a skillset that can make him a very productive player without as much raw athleticism due to the surgeries.

If somebody offered me the first pick in the draft for Durant I'd take it (obviously they'd have to figure out how else to work out the salaries, but as long as the other player was in the last year of his contract I'd be cool with it). No questions asked. I just don't trust it with this injury, plus there's a good chance he's going to walk for nothing anyway...

To be honest though, it would have to depend on who I was in the organization though. If I was locked into my position and had no worries about getting fired I'd definitely do the trade. But if not then I'm not sure I'd take the risk. Because if you trade Durant and he comes back at even 90%, and especially if Okafor or Towns or whoever you draft ends up as a bust (or worse, they get injured themselves), you're going to have hell explaining that in that market.
