Why would someone quit a job if they don't have something lined up?
I got fam that does that shyt. Takes bullshyt jobs and then quits soon as somebody says something he don't like. Then will get on IG and FB talking about how all of those with regular jobs are suckers for working for the white man. Then a few weeks later he's at the next minimum wage job doing repeating the same cycle.

Basically I'm saying there ain't no honor or pride in just quitting out of nowhere cause you gone end up right back at another bullshyt job doing the same thing except you ain't gone have no standards because you're desperate for any job.

More so takes courage due to the risk involved.

But If you have something lined up waiting for you, then you’re good.

Depends on your responsibilities. One day in like March I was coming from class and didnt feel going to work so I quit after 3 years. But I don't have any kids, my car is paid off,Credit cards paid off, I live with one of my cousins so I don't pay rent, had money saved up, and get a Monthly check from the US Veterans Department every month I'm in school so I'm good.

Had anyone of those been different I would have had to ponder on the what's going to happen if I quit, should I do it, etc..

They'd drop you in a heartbeat and it would be like nothing happened an hour later.

If you have something lined up you should't need to feel any kind of way. Dip on them.

Now if you have nothing lined up I can see somebody being worried.

To answer Brothazay....by the time you seriously consider leaving you should have had the confidence to job seek behind their back so yes you need confidence.

I gotta reiterate that you should only respect these places to a point. They view you as a number. I'm not saying don't do your job(they are a potential reference) but I am saying it's your life. You only get one.

Yes. I voluntarily left my job this past week and it took a lot of courage. I had got comfortable and was used to doing things a certain way for the past 4 years. I was afraid to leave that familiar and comfortable spot. I wrestled with the idea and thought that I may be making a mistake. However, I know if I had stayed I would have become more resentful and irritated. I made the best choice.
