All forms of secular entertainment and media negatively impact our society, not just rap. They get people to chase false ideals that only lead to misery and Hell.

yes. alot young buhls being raised by single parent (mostly mothers) with no real male influence in their life, except whatevers on tv. and single moms usually workin alot, leavin the kids at home to watch and listen to whatever. I dont think its a problem with the media itself, but a disfunction in the family unit.

Negativity (Kayfabe)
Society negatively effects Rap music.

It's funny how people act like labels are forcing people to be misogynistic, violent & hedonistic.

It's the people--who like misogynistic, violent & hedonistic music--supporting it, that has the labels spewin' it out.

Nope it's just a convenient way for the media and other people who don't understand the HOOD to blame something superficial which has nothing to do with the real social issues that fuel rap at hand (Poverty, lack Education, lack of family structure etc). Not only that it's also a great way to put back the few nikkas who did get out the hood and fukk their money up (Ludacris/Bill O'Reily/Pepsi fiasco). They also fail to mention during the Clinton administration around the peak of the gangsta rap era (mid 90's) crime was at a nationwide low since the 70's.

:rudy: rap definitely negatively affects the society with the bs that it preaches

my man, rap is the reflection of urban american culture. Its not the other way around. This is a country built on individualistic evangelical principals... Its all about the accumulation of wealth and liberty which leads to us.

If you wanna get deeper, the US hasnt been as safe as it is now in all its history. rap music is just a reflection of the one nation under God mentality. Sure there's still violence, but the great thing bout our nation is you got a black and latino generation growin up to be middle class, which is what makes us the greatest country in the world.

Sure we got racial tensions and financial problems and we aint Sweden or Norway, but thats cause we 300 M deep, these countries are 4 or 5 M deep. We strugglin right now but best believe we all gone rise up and overcome this shyt. Rap included.
