After re-signing Birdman, Mario, Bosh and Wade he is pretty much doubling down and bringing back the core of the last 4 Finals runs (minus #6)

Is this a good decision or should they have instantly destroyed to rebuild by joining the the tank wars of '16...Not sure if the pick they traded to Cleveland in '15 is top 10 protected (probably not) but they could have had cap space for the '15 and '16 free agent class..And been in the mix for Malik Newman, LeRon Black, Steve Zimmerman and Ben Simmons...

The 93-94 Bulls were able to lose the best player in the game and have their #2 and #3 options lead them to game 7 of the ECF's...But prime Pippen and Horace probably have more in their tank than Bosh and Wade...Plus the Bulls only had to hold down the fort for one and 1/2 seasons...But onlike Jordan, LBJ isn't walking back through that door..

What would you have done?

I dont know if hes trying to make the 94 Bulls but I've seen this plan before in Miami when a contending core breaks up or he knows is at its end and he tries to put in veteran pieces to retool to various results (Eddie Jones in 2000, Shawn Marion in 2008). Heat fans probably got a better take on it but I do think he needs to embrace the younger pieces. He's never been that big on younger development aside from a few. So Im not so sure he has a long term plan. 2016 is more transparent of a plan and I just dont know if you can pull off what he did in 2010 again.

All depends if Wade can return to being an elite player, I think Bosh is going to have a monster season

I know everyone hates Wade now and given how he hasnt evolved his game while injured, still flopping and kicking ,its understandable. But man I wish he could be an elite guard again,it would be fun to watch just as a basketball fan :wow:

I want Rose, Kobe and Wade to get that german blood surgery this summer brehs :sadcam:

The biggest difference is that Pip in 94 was just coming into his prime while Wade has clearly exited his. I most certainly wouldn't have given a PF that doesn't want to bang $120 mil but I would have kept him if possible for a more reasonable price. I don't think you should just propel yourself into the shytter if you don't have to. Nothing wrong with trying to put a competitive squad out there. As long as they aren't tying their self to a bunch of old or soon to be old nikkas long term I can't really knock what they are doing.

Breh the ship on Wade has sailed and sunk. We've been saying the same thing about dude for 2 years and he's only gotten progressively worse. When you take a 3rd of the season off for maintenance and still have nothing left in the Finals your days of being elite are over. I don't think Bron leaves if that was a realistic possibility. Bosh had better have a monster season.

Unlike the lakers we don't just give up he's trying to make the best team possible with what he has and as a fan you can't ask for anything else
But if he gives Wade anything more than 15 mill a year, we could find ourselves in the exact same position as the Lakers
