. The minimum I ask for is what I can do. Been making my own bolognese sauce since 13. By 15 I was making dinner for grandma and grandpa. It was simple. All I had to do was open one of granddad's cookbooks, and comprehend what I was reading
. Watched a lot of, and recorded, The Frugal Gourmet. Had a lot of time because grandma would have had me begging her to beat my ass if I was out in those streets. Grandma also got on my ass if I didn't clean up that bathroom after I was done taking a shower. And no, I will not cook for ANY woman who doesn't know her way around the kitchen. UNLESS she happens to be the one bringing home the most money and working the most hours.

I understand, but just because a man's mother did not meet a certain standard, that does not mean that the man cannot have that same standard. That same logic could be used to say if you never had anything then you shouldn't want anything either.

Yes because one should not ask for something they can't equal or exceed on their end as far as standards/expectations.
No because people exploit what they are allowed to exploit and if someone can ask that of a woman and get it from them without equaling it? Who am I to stop them?
Besides, as mentioned in here, most men's expectations are: Make sure we eat and make sure we're consistently getting your box/throat, whatever. Ideally, do so while being objectively attractive and keeping drama/disturbing of peace to a minimum (i.e. cooperative).

There's some flaws in her argument. Cooking & Cleaning are basic tasks. You definitely need to cook unless you want to spend a rack on restaurant food. And who wants to come home to a dirty ass house. Both those are basic, basic, adult functions that's shouldn't be a requirement from neither women or men. If you can't do those things you're trash.
The next flaw is she's complaining how guys can't paint, hang tvs, etc. Sounds like she dating the wrong men.
