Does swimming help ya stroke game?

I swim about a mile (30 lengths) every weekend.

Does a lot for the endurance, if you know what I mean.

You do not need to swim to lose weight lol.

And as someone with low body fat % it is extremely difficult for me to float in water.

Nah it's true. Fat gives you buoyancy ie the ability to float easier in water.

When I took a swimming class years ago I struggled with just floating.

Only time I could really float for long periods of time was on my back with my whole body relaxed.

But trying to do the front crawl, back crawl, etc I would only float for so long before sinking.

nope your technique is just trash.

I was a competitive swimmer since I was a pre-teen with a string bean body. Never had a problem floating because of lack of fat :laff:

muscle density is also a factor.

Never said my technique was great, as you can see in the post I mentioned taking a swimming class.

And this link proves that body fat % and muscle density does in fact affect ones ability to float in water.

Why Does My Body Sink?
