been trying to get myself to do it for a while. can only join navy or marines cuz I got a mj possession charge and my section of jobs would be pretty limited but the pay and benefits are pretty good and I need some direction and focus in my life.

Here's everything you need to know about Army OCS. I will tell you though that because of the economy they have had an influx of applicants meaning they are getting very selective. If you don't have an engineering or medical degree of some sorts than it will be tougher. Not impossible, but tougher. You will have to do boards, pt test, letters of recommendations, etc.

That's the quickest way to make rank. On the enlisted side as an infantryman, it is very possible to make E-6 in four years. It's a mentality thing and I completely understand because so many are choosing to come in for education purposes. Even if that's your intention if you give the Army what it needs, it'll give you what you need. Stop looking at it as a "job". Those who look at it as a "job", a paycheck are the ones who have a tough time. It's a lifestyle. PT, Weapons, Boards. That's the Army on the enlisted side. If you have no negative information from your past, if you pick a support MOS, pick one with a security clearance. That will make you more attractive. 3 or 4 years in you can apply for a MOS on the BEAR programs(endangered MOS list) and get a huge bonus. It's all about working hard and not looking at "when your getting out".

I'm lost what does this have to do with food and the ability to get an erection? Sexual assault in basic training is probably small compared to what happens when soldiers get to AIT and their duty stations. I.E. that's when alcohol is introduced.
