I went vegan over a year ago for about 2 months before I called it quits and I lost alot of weight without even trying. Got some of the best sleep ever on it as well. And the good thing about it was that I would feel full unlike the keto diet I'm on now.
Now I'm keto and it's hard for me to sleep and that keto breathe is annoying :scust:. The hardest part of being vegan is staying away from those processed vegan foods like beyond burgers and such because it tastes like the real deal but it's not good to eat that stuff as a substitute for meat. All the vegan blogs and experts recommend having a plant based diet.

Failing Pescatarian here, other than occasional bacon or ribs (once or 2 a year) im full time veggie and fish(usually 3 times out a 7 day week)

To be truthful, its great but nothing is substitute for steak or chicken, king crab or true ahi tuna come close but not it. I truthfully can never see meat just going away, its important part of human diet.....

Or significantly reduce our intake?

Center for Disease control quote:

source: Zoonotic Diseases | One Health | CDC

Besides that fact, it pollutes the planet heavily through methane and other pollutants. Feeding animals takes up a ton of arable land we could be using to grow plant based food to feed the people. Floods our system with hormones and antibiotics (another issue in creating resistant disease)

Meat comes at such a tremendous price it almost seems irresponsible to keep going. Maybe we should eat animal based products once or twice a week at most.
Nope the entitle world isn't over consuming meat products. This is a problem. For the so-called developed nations and factory farms.

Farmers with livestock don't eat meat everyday. If you raise animals you ain't slaughtering one daily. We need to change our habits more than anything.
