Its sad breh...he has total carte blanche in his act and isn't restrained to just cliche nikka community jokes ala them nikkas on Wild n out !the average nikka will probably think they're too weird
What? I was just showing you some comedians who whole bit isn't about race.I was trying to help you but fck it. It's ton of variety in black comedy I guess you just have to look for what make you laugh.

Race is a huge part of his act ... If he stopped talking about race he'd have about 30 seconds of materialTrevor Noah

Glover? I acknowledged even he does it but a big part of the act? not from what i've seen so farTrevor NoahGlover? I acknowledged even he does it but a big part of the act? not from what i've seen so far
Wack as fvck.hannibal burress puts a black spin on cac humor but he makes it work, just random type shyt, dude would go on tangents about the most irrelevant things in life and make it laughable and relatable

There are black comedians that speak about subjects other than relationships, or if they do they take a different approach.
Just gotta dig deeper.
That being said.
@Billy Costigan I wanna see your work breh![]()
It takes 10 years before most people ever get really noticed. If they even do. There are many black comics saying a variety of things but you'd have to frequent clubs, shows, open mics, etc. That being said, the new class is hard on c00ns and tackiness so the next 7-10 years we will likely see a shift. However, who makes it depends on tenacity and your ability to navigate the landscape. And with comedy largely not paying for the first 5 years, there simply aren't enough alternative black comics willing or able to break through. People don't like the big guys because it gets monotonous. It's rare to get big and when you're in you are typically around for awhile as long as you keep grinding. People want the raw you but they haven't been able to get it because the industry is big on paying dues.i guess i should add why aren't they enjoying mainstream success like a kevin hart...a lot of people don't seem to like them

How often do you go to shows jw? Are you a casual observer or do you actually seek out live comedy? The experience is a lot different. You're only seeing them in big venues with edits and such. And you can't really use chappelle because he's actually a comedic freak of nature.I keep seeing Hannibal mentioned but I don't see it. I get his appeal, and he's obviously smarter than the average comedian (white OR black), but I still haven't seen anything near Chappelle's genius. Buress is more clever than he is funny, very likable and has a laid back kind of charisma, but he doesn't elicit more than a few chuckles from me. Maybe Dave set the bar too high for me but![]()
