Even if the crowd turns on Goldberg and cheered Lesnar over the next 4 weeks to mania this experiment was a success. We live in a fast moving world that thrives off unpredictability

Bill was about 225ish weight wise in a lot of his Muay Thai vids he'd post on Instagram so I wasn't on board with him coming back as a closer to normal sized guy because a lot of his myth came from appearance. He recaptured a lot of his prime aura and deserves props.

His merch moves, they've been smart about limiting his interactions since he's clearly limited but only hardcore give a shyt about that. Casuals just like seeing their faves.

dude looks the part, is still explosive In doses, can talk without totally embarrassing himself and from most accounts outside of the ring he's a good guy.

So yeah it works. It was never meant to be a solution to anything but it's helpful to a mania that clearly needs his star

Plus you can sell Mattel elite Goldberg figures with the belt to further monetize this time period

I'm all for them using the "legends" and see why they do it, I just don't understand why they feel like they have to be the main event. Like you said people are going to po and spend their money anyway so why do they meed the brightest light also?

WWE is stuck in a position right now where the only true superstar they have on the roster is Cena, there isn't one other wrestler that they could use in 10 years on a limited basis that would make money and that's what the issue is IMO. While they keep pushing the legends they aren't attempting to make new ones.

They don't want to.

They've had a lot of cats outgrow the wwe and move on, have their own opinions and agendas or limit their availability to the company. Rock, Brock, Batista, Punk, currently Cena etc

They seem to have a cap on how high they want the ceiling of any one talent going forward. It's crippling them but total control is big with that company

WWE has tried to build superstars, but they just aren't over, most are worried about stupid social media likes and wonder why they come out to crickets because no one buys their character anymore

Major stars like Lesnar and Goldberg are rare, if they can still go (which they can, Lesnar is the best alive), then it's stupid business to not put the title on them and give them the biggest programs

WWE has tried to build WHO THEY WANT as stars and it's not the wrestlers that the fans want. They tried to hold DB down, ran Punk away (say what you want about him but he was a superstar), they could have built Kofi up like a muthafuka, and there are others but my point is that they fukked it up. Yea Goldberg and Lesnar make money but what happens when Goldberg bounces after Mania and Lesnar eventually says "fukk this shyt" what does WWE do then?

I'm more worried about them building superstars who in 10-15 years can do what Goldberg, Lesnar, Rock etc do today. After Kurt Angle what other wrestlers can you see doing part time appearances that will draw money... I will wait.
but the thing is Kevin Owens isn't a superstar you can build your biggest PPV around

he is more likely to batlle type 2 diabetes than being be a part-timer in 10-15 years

They have both Goldberg and Owens listed at 266...

One of them is 6'4'' and a former professional football player who (at 50) is still in great shape

The other is barely 6'0'' in terrible shape and has been professional wrestler for his adult life

In Kayfabe or a Shoot I'm taking Goldberg :yeshrug:

And just because we (in all of our :flabbynsick::hhh:) on the internet don't like it, you can't deny the live reaction that he gets.

It's entertainment

In a shoot, most street nikkas could wash Kevin Owens

I don't really have an issue with it tbh. Or care for that matter. I appreciate that they've stuck to the mythos of Goldberg, in having him just squash dudes in seconds flat. It's actually somewhat refreshing as opposed to having 20 some odd minute back and forth finisher fests like everybody else

Nikkas still hating on Goldberg.:hhh:

Goldberg brings in the bread for the company & he is a legend.

Plus he's in better shape than someone like a ko who gets fatter by the day or Finn balor who's vanilla midget status.

The iwc are a minority part of the wwe audience. Not the majority. That's why their self centered behavior is so laughable.:heh:

You had people on this site that thought Goldberg was gonna get booed at survivor series. That's how delusional their mindsets are.:mjlol:

:mindblown: he's fukking 5'10! How is he a midget?

Shape is so overrated. Only thing that really matters is Charisma and having a good storyline.

Apollo Crews is build like a motherfukker but that doesn't help him a bit.
