Tom Hanks doesn’t make movies in impoverished black neighborhoods so he isn’t benefiting from those neighborhoods to be extorted for. That’s why these rappers get extorted for not checking in. Locals don’t want some rich dude coming to shoot videos in their neighborhood, make a bunch of money doing so and don’t spend any of it or give any of it in that same neighborhood they made money off of.
That’s why folks are said to “check in”. Pay the people who then make sure don’t shyt happen in hopes of securing return service. shyt goes smooth, save money on low security issues, some folks on the block get some change in their pocket. Everybody happy.
Otherwise you can not do it , spend more money on your security and just deal with shyt if nikkas want to act up as it comes cause you on that type of time.

The main reason these rappers have to check in especially in LA is because most of them is claiming some blood or crip set anyways. You don’t come to the land that created that shyt without paying your respect. It is what it is. If you rapping street shyt, expect to check in. Especially in LA
